Book Blast: The Failed Experiment by Mart Grams

Title: The Failed Experiment
Author: Mart Grams
Publisher: XLibrisUS
Genre: Social Science/Ethnic Studies
Format: Ebook

When the American government was founded, the Founders and Framers assumed a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” That government is dying. It is under the authority of not “we, the people” but rather a small elite that is trying to snuff out the great experiment of man ruling himself, the common man, the man that within the right system of government can attain his purpose to achieve happiness. Were the Framers wrong? Were the ideas of Alexander Hamilton right? Is man incapable of self-rule? Does he need to be taken care of, watched, manipulated? No! It is not a failed experiment! It is time to retake that government.

Interview with V.W. Raynes, author of Twisted Venom

Title: Twisted Venom
Author: V. W. Raynes
Publisher: AuthorHouse
Genre: Suspense/Thriller
Format: Ebook

When young internist Claudia Ranelli attends a medical conference in San Francisco, she has a sexual encounter so bizarre and frightful it nearly kills her. But that isn't the end of her terror. Claudia and her cousin Dru Salinas must discover the identity of the person terrorizing them both, a quest that leads from pit vipers to modern genetics. Claudia tells a gripping story with sensitivity, a humanly scientific perspective, eroticism and a wry sense of humor.

INTERVIEW:

Question1- Do you have a daily writing routine?
In the evening, in the dark, with very little noise.
Question2- Where do you do most of your writing?
Everywhere I can, but mainly at my desk at home.
Question3- Where did you grow up? Can you tell us a little about it?
A little. A small mining town in the northern U. S. I couldn't wait to get away from it, but the boredom of the place made me a voracious reader. I finally appreciate some aspects of the place now (for short periods).
Question4- What is your motto in life/writing?
I've never really thought about having a motto. Maybe "This could be the last time...."
Question5- What inspired you to writing your book?
I refer quite a few patient samples for genetic testing and am fascinated by the huge breakthroughs that have been made in cancer diagnostics and therapeutics. I wanted to write something that might teach people a little about what's going using a fictional format that, although somewhat kinky, might be more interesting reading. The gene mutation that I incorporate into the story is real, and the research to find a compound with the ability to reverse the effects of this mutation is ongoing and important. It is somewhat difficult, however, to put into a format that a non-medical person can understand.

V. W. Raynes is the pen name of a physician practiciing in Texas

Genre: Juvenile Fiction
Format: Ebook

Molly is a lonely little girl who is looking for a friend. She lives on a farm with her mom and dad. Molly asks, and asks, and asks again, but the answer is always “No.” Then one day, Molly finds a little kitten hiding in the barn and wants to keep her, of course. What will she do? Should she hide the kitten from her dad? Will dad see the kitten and think it is so adorable he will change his mind about letting Molly keep the cat? What would you do if you found the cutest kitten ever? How will Molly solve this problem?

Book Feature: I Don't Have Time by I.M. Free

Title: I Don't Have Time
Author: I.M. Free
Publisher: iUniverse
Genre: Biography
Format: Ebook

When she was in her early thirties, the author realized something was guiding her. Suddenly, a whole new world opened up.

She had never considered herself an atheist, but she had always questioned the stories in the Bible as she thought it was impossible for anyone or anything to have so much power.

But through her own experiences, she learned something really does have that much power. She became one of the few people throughout time who began communicating directly with God.
Sometimes when the author awakens, she knows something she didn’t know before she fell asleep. She feels things she wasn’t aware of before. This is how God protects her and prepares her for life.

I Don’t Have Time is the story of how God found the author and how she realized that while some people live as though they won’t face consequences for their actions, they could not be more wrong. Even if they don’t pay the price in this lifetime, they will in the next.

I.M. Free nearly gave up on life as a teen living with an alcoholic parent, but at just the right time, a voice saved her life. That voice led her to a close relationship with God,who she now thinks of as her friend and confidant. She wrote this book so that others will find Him.
